Robin Reigi

A native New Yorker with a BFA in Sculpture from the School of Visual Arts, Robin Reigi founded Robin Reigi Inc in 1998 to provide architects and designers with innovative, sustainable materials. Partnering with Jennifer Daly, their firm has earned acclaim for its expertise in wood, composites, bamboo, and acoustics from organizations such as the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, The New York Times, and Interior Design Magazine.
Known for her pragmatism, Robin has made significant contributions to materials education within the design industry . As an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons New School, and New York University, she has taught and authored materials courses, bringing practical knowledge to future designers. She has also guest lectured at McGraw Hill, SciArc, Columbia University, and Pratt Institute.
Robin has consulted for clients including Herman Miller, BMW, and Jaguar/LandRover, and served as the US Brand Ambassador for The Andalucía Spain Marble Association. She earned a patent in 2021 for Plyboo Louver with manufacturing partner Smith & Fong. Currently, Robin serves on the Executive Board of IIDA NY, leading the Student Development group. In 2023, her team received the IIDA National "Changemaker Award" for their Hazel Siegel Scholarship, highlighting her dedication to mentoring the next generation of design professionals.
