Danyson Tavares
Executive Director, BSA
Danyson Tavares is a designer, educator, and advocate for equitable design. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Boston Society for Architecture (BSA). With over a decade of experience in architectural practice and teaching, his work centers on community-driven design and expanding access to careers in the built environment. Previously, Danyson led YouthBuild Boston, where he developed programs connecting youth of color to the architecture, engineering, construction, and design industries through hands-on training and mentorship. He holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he taught for nearly a decade. Danyson is a trustee of the Sasaki Foundation and an active member of NOMA and AIA. His work focuses on youth empowerment, spatial justice, and creating inclusive pathways into the design professions.
