Mission Pacific Hotel, The Seabird Resort
In an effort to develop two unique properties that were not only representative of Oceanside, CA’s vibrant landscape in which they are located, but also bespoke in their architecture and design, ownership group S.D. Malkin assembled a stellar ensemble of creative collaborators to work on their latest endeavour - two Hyatt properties: Mission Pacific Hotel and The Seabird Resort situated steps away from the sand.
What was once two parking lots adjacent to Oceanside’s spectacular shoreline and beachfront is now a boutique offering boasting luxurious amenities and seaside accommodations that is reflective of North County’s beach village aesthetic and quintessential design elements.
Mission Pacific Hotel is a beachside creative boutique, rated the top hotel in San Diego by the 2022 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. Bespoke and undeniably Southern Californian, the lively, expressive hotel is brimming with unique experiences and charged with local creative energy. The hotel has 161 guest rooms, including 38 suites, along with immersive biking, skating, and surfing experiences; bold culinary moments from renowned Chef Roberto Alcocer at signature restaurant Valle, newly recognized in California’s distinguished MICHELIN Guide; Oceanside’s only rooftop pool/bar, ranked one of the best rooftop bars in San Diego by Time Out; Top Gun House, home of the famous HIGH-pie; and 13,000 square feet of ocean view function space.
The Seabird Resort is a grand beachside resort, reimagined. Every aspect of The Seabird experience embodies the quintessential Southern California estate lifestyle. Along with iconic ocean views, this classic seaside resort is beautifully refined, wonderfully indulgent, and picture perfect. The resort has 226 guest rooms, including 56 suites, an expansive pool with an indoor/outdoor living room that was ranked one of the country’s best hotel pools by USA Today 10 Best Travel Awards, a contemplative library, three dining outlets featuring inventive seasonal cuisine with ingredients sourced from San Diego’s many small farms, nearly 20,000 square feet of spectacular ocean view meeting and celebration spaces, and authentic, farm-to-sea treatments at Sunny’s Spa, named one of the The Best New Spas in the World by Marie Claire.
