Hotel 11, MOD A Sonesta Collection

With stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and a central location just minutes from the airport, Hotel 11 is the first MOD, a Sonesta Collection hotel.

The modern contemporary design uses lots of natural rock and wood and brings the outside in. The hotel provides easy access to local attractions and businesses, as well as countless options for Western Canadian adventures.

The hotel is family owned and operated and was hands on in designing the hotel with Nick’s construction background, Steve’s geological background & Sally’s interior design background they came up with contemporary design using natural rock mixed with natural wood. The family worked closely with Rick Scheidt, of Scheidt Design and the hotel opened October 2015, sourcing the majority of construction materials and furniture from Canada. All artwork is landscape scenes from Alberta. Unique amenities include – steam showers in select rooms, flat and sparkling water dispensers on each floor, energy efficient Mitsubishi heat pump system (Klass Mechanical designed the system and won an award from Mitsubishi.) Melcor won an Alberta Construction Association design award for the millwork.  Under parking lot is 40,000 gallon rainwater capture cistern, which is used for irrigation. 15 MB fibre optic room dedicated WiFi (can run up to 5 devices per room).  There are 2 electric vehicle charging stations. The hotel became the first Sonesta soft brand in 2023.
