Traditional in vitro and animal models, commonly used in drug development, often fail to accurately represent human brain physiology.

For example there is 99.6% for Alzheimer’s drug that aim to alleviate symptoms of the disease and 100% failure for disease modifying drugs – the is no therapy available despite the fact that Alzheimer’s kills more people than breast and prostate cancer combined.

This cutting-edge platform consists of microscopic in vitro human mini-brains, created using biomaterials and human neural stem cells. It enables the generation of a range of models that replicate the behaviour of both healthy and diseased human brain tissue.
