The Problem

• Diabetic retinopathy is the leading cause of vision loss and blindness among adults between 20 and 74 years of age.
• With early detection, 95% of vision loss can be prevented,  but patient compliance with annual retinal exams is low.
• Change is required to eradicate a leading cause of blindness. Evaluating retinal health in primary healthcare settings is highly effective – achieving over 90% patient compliance with diabetic retinal eye exams in a single year.
