The Lola Project
Damien and Tana Macaluso have designed, built, and renovated several homes in recent years. They have enjoyed the process, so when they had the opportunity to design and build a lakefront property, they were ecstatic.
Their vision was a modern, mountain/lake design which was unique to most of the home designs in their community. They love to entertain, and it was imperative for their guests to feel comfortable, welcomed, relaxed, and inspired with every room, space, and element in the home and on the property.
Based on their previous experiences, they knew they needed to partner with the best architect, builder, and design team for their project. They met with The Stillwater Group, MHK Architecture, and Lawler Design Studio and knew they had their dream team established. They were impressed with the high level of craftsmanship as well as their level of communication, follow-up, and accountability. Every design in the home was a collaborative effort of the Macalusos’ dreams and the team’s execution.
The main elements are high ceilings, glass windows throughout, and an open floor plan. The exterior is a combination of a unique stone blend surrounded by glass. The interior is a combination of various custom features and furnishings with warm colors.
From Damien and Tana Macaluso: “We really enjoy when friends and family visit our home for the first time. Most of our friends are literally stunned! We love to share our “how and why” we did things the way we did. What we can say is that everyone who visits our home are in awe of every space. The design is fluid, open, elegant, inviting, detailed, warm, and comfortable. We could list the details of the unique design elements for every room, but a picture is worth a thousand words.”
