Imagery with Stratospheric Balloons
AtNear Space Labs, we believe everyone should have access to Earth imagery.
The next billion dollar company in Earth imaging will need to design a product that democratizes access to the ever-changing information around our planet… while removing existing barriers in the process.
Near Space Labs launched when co-founders Rema Matevosyan, Ignasi Lluch, and Albert Caubet realized that there was a problem in the Earth imaging sector: high-quality imagery was unreachable to many of the people who needed it. Due to the prohibitive costs associated with satellite, airplane, and drone imagery, fewer and fewer people have had access to the data that shows how their planet is changing under their feet. Near Space Labs is giving them that access with their flagship product, the Swifty.
Fuelled by the power of helium and next-generation engineering, the Swifty is a zero-emission, balloon-based vehicle that captures imagery from the stratosphere. This small but powerful vehicle uses high-resolution cameras and sensors to help urban planners, researchers, and many others see the world in unprecedented detail. Sustainably designed with a new generation of users in mind, the Swifty allows anyone, anywhere to see Earth as never before.
