Hello Options

Hello Options is an all-in-one contraceptive counseling tool designed in collaboration with adolescents, healthcare providers, and peer educators.

Hello Options features physical replicas of the birth control pill, patch, ring, shot, IUD (copper and hormonal), implant, internal condom, and male condom. Hello Options sparks conversations between adolescents and providers, equipping adolescents with a fuller understanding of how birth control options look and feel and engaging them in decision making about which options are best suited to their body, sexuality, and life.

In a recent study published in the February 2021 issue of the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology:

• Providers reported Hello Options helps young people take a more active role in contraceptive decision making.
• Patients reported Hello Options helped them better understand how contraceptive methods work in the body.
