Ambiente 2024

Ambiente is the world’s leading international consumer goods trade fair. In 2024 there were over 130,000 visitors over the five day event.

It is a meeting place for the global consumer goods industry, a magnet for international trade visitors and a hotspot for renowned designers.

Renowned designers from all over the world are attracted to Ambiente. Ambiente 2024 gave a platform to up-and-coming design talent by inviting 19 young designers to present a special exhibition in the ‘Talents’ programme. Ambiente runs this program to uplift new designers and give them the opportunity to make important contacts with industry and trade.

In 2024, the Ambiente Designer of the Year Elena Salmistraro curated a special presentation in ‘The Lounge’. Entitled ‘A Serious Game’, it is a humorous art installation that playfully breaks down the rigid perspectives of contemporary design. With this special presentation, Salmistraro creates a thematic interface between interior design and hospitality and invites visitors to immerse themselves in her colourful world.
